About

"Ensuring the healthy development of children and families in the communities we serve."

Established in 1980 as a community outreach, Mount Olivet Lab School, Inc. focuses on providing services and wholesome, structured activities for youth and families in a safe place. Lab School addresses education, socio-economic barriers, food insecurity, and access to basic needs as it affects residents in the immediate and the greater community - focusing on the East Metro Twin Cities. We believe that every child can be successful and that every family deserves the opportunity to thrive; thereby, improving overall health and wellbeing, while reducing the disparities that exist between mainstream communities and communities of color.

Our Response to COVID-19 and WHAT WE'RE DOING NOW

 NOURISH Food Shelf

In response to COVID-19 pandemic, Lab School was able to provide site-prepared meals and a number of free essential items to the community. As need increased, NOURISH Food Shelf was created. NOURISH is a TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food shelf that serves more than 250 families each week, providing access to fresh, produce, meat, dairy and non-perishable food items. Services are available to all who desire them.
